Lisa is an 18 year veteran of acupuncture, specializing in Reproductive Health/Fertility, complemented by nutritional guidance and mindfulness workshops to promote self-empowerment. Since Lisa likes to LIVE LARGE, she added Functional Diagnostic Nutrition to her practice to enable her patients to do the same.
In her previous life, Lisa had a sixteen year career in computer technology. A two-week rafting adventure through the Grand Canyon became a turning point in her life and career. The incredible landscapes and beauty, but mostly the stillness and reflection awakened an inner desire to do something more meaningful. Through an encouraging friend, books, research and visits to a local acupuncturist, she followed her curiosity to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and eventually left her work in technology.
As a lifelong athlete, Lisa expected to treat sports injuries, surgical recovery, body aches and pains. But that’s not who was coming to her. Women having difficulty conceiving were filling her practice. Lisa found that helping women with fertility challenges brought deeper meaning to her work. Eighteen years later, enhancing health and fertility for women through acupuncture, workshops and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition keeps her spirit alive, engaged and happy!
Lisa survived being the youngest of five, a couple of bouts with cancer, various and sundry injuries from sports and ill-advised activities of youth, and her own pathogenic invaders to a life that includes sand volleyball (no small feat at 60), century bike rides, dancing (like no one is watching), tending her vegetable garden and daily meditation. She exhibits no signs of slowing down.
Lisa earned her Master’s level Professional Diploma in Acupuncture under the direction of world-renowned Chinese acupuncturists and herbalists Dr. Lixing Lao and Jingyun Gao at the Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Lisa works with clients online and in-person.
